And here we are, still talking about the legal case that will not die… the case of General Flynn.

It is beyond belief, that two weeks ago, the Department of Justice filed a motion to withdraw from the prosecuting this case, and yet, it is still not over.

The DOJ decided to drop the case after Attorney General Barr assigned US Attorney Jeffrey Jensen to review the case.  Jensen uncovered evidence of government misconduct, including evidence that was witheld from the defense.

It was Jensen that recommended to Barr that the only justifiable way forward was for the US government to withdraw from the case.

The DOJ then filed a motion to withdraw, that was agreed to by the Flynn defense team.

However, a case cannot officially end until the judge signs off on the deal.

This judge, Emmett Sullivan, decided to keep it alive, by allowing amicus briefs from interested parties.  He then assigned a retired judge to challenge the justice department’s move to drop the case.

And, as if that was not enough, he is going to review whether or not Flynn should be held in contempt for committing perjury when he pleaded guilty.

This all occurred just over a week ago.

The case of the curious Susan Rice memo to herself

Today, there were a couple new developments that occurred in the case.

One of them was the complete declassification of a memo that Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice sent to herself on January 20, 2017, Inauguration Day.

The memo served to memorialize a meeting held in the Oval office that was attended by Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Rice, James Clapper, John Brennan, Sally Yates and James Comey.

These are effectively the heads of the entire Intelligence Community.

The meeting was held on January 5, 2017.

On January 4, 2017, Obama was apparently briefed by James Clapper about the General Flynn call with the Russian Ambassador Kislyak that occurred on December 29, 2016.

In Rice’s memo, which you can see here… Rice Memo she says Obama wanted to make sure that the issue at hand was to be handled by the Intelligence agencies by the book.

That part had been unredacted for two years.

However, it was the big paragraph near the bottom of her memo that had remained redacted.

In that paragraph, Rice indicates that James Comey indicates that indeed the investigation into General Flynn is being done by the book.

Comey goes on to say that amount of contact between Flynn and Kislyak was troubling, but it did not appear that Flynn had shared classified intelligence with Kislyak.

Here’s my read on this memo… this was all about Rice covering her ass, along with Obama, in case the FBI investigation of Flynn went off the rails… which it did.

In other words, the goal will be to pin all the blame on Comey and the FBI and suggest that nobody else really knew what the FBI was doing in regard to Flynn and the other Trump investigations.

The problem is, there are a couple text messages between disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page saying the “White House is running this” and “POTUS wants to know everything we are doing.”

Those messages are from September 2016, a little over a month after the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump’s campaign was officially opened.

And, here is another thing to remember about Crossfire Hurricane and Crossfire Razor, the name of the Flynn investigation… both were opened to coverup spying shenanigans that occurred much earlier, at least as early as December 2015.

Sidney Powell filing in Flynn Case

Today, Sidney Powell filed an Emergency Petition for a Writ of Mandamus in the Flynn case.  The petition was put before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals in response to Judge Sullivan’s recent moves in the case.

There are three parts to the petition…

(1) grant the Justice Department’s Motion to Dismiss; (2) vacate its order appointing amicus curiae; and (3) reassign the case to
another district judge as to any further proceedings.

I recommend reading the petition for more info…. here is again… Writ of Mandamus.

The bottom line

So, today we’ve seen more evidence that Barack Obama was heavily involved in the shenanigans the Intelligence Community pulled against the Trump campaign.

What I want to know is why that paragraph in Rice’s memo remained redacted for over two years since that memo was released to the public.

Redactions are supposed to protect sources and methods used by the Intelligence Community.

All that redaction did was protect Comey and Obama, and it was kept from the Flynn defense team all this time.

Mueller had this memo unredacted, and never produced it to Flynn.  Do you think Flynn would’ve pleaded guilty after seeing that memo?

Yet, here we are about 18 months AFTER he pleaded guilty and the case is still not over, because of government misconduct, and a renegade judge who clearly has animosity toward Flynn and Trump.

This is where are as a country, and it’s downright sad.
