On Friday, we learned that the Department of Justice dropped the case against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.  McCabe had been referred to the DOJ by Inspector General Michael Horowitz for four cases of lying to investigators.

A couple months ago, the DOJ took a similar step in regard to former FBI Director James Comey for leaking classified information.

Keep this in mind… the DOJ went full throttle against General Michael Flynn for lying to FBI investigators.

Thus, as Sundance over at Conservative Tree House mentioned in a post last night, this puts Barr in a box.  The most likely outcome has to be that he drops the case against Flynn.

Unfortunately, that will bring more calls for his resignation from the left, who think he has already politicized the DOJ.

Sundance believes that Barr is covering for former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.  The argument is that the corruption in DC is so intertwined among all three branches of government, that Barr needs to thread the needle to sweep it under the rug.

The problem is that the voters of President Trump will in no way accept this outcome.

Heads need to roll, or else Trump voters will NEVER have faith in the U.S. government again.  It would be absolutely disastrous if the likes of John Brennan, James Comey and James Clapper are not held accountable for the three years of misery they put the Trump administration through.

It will also give the green light to the Democrats in the House to continue the non-stop bullshit investigations of this administration.

One savvy commentator on Twitter suggested that there will be a couple people who ultimately face jail time for their shenanigans, but no one of significance.  However, she is betting that US Attorney John Durham exposes the coup.

The problem with that argument is that, if he exposes an actual coup, then how can no one of significance face jail time?

I am hoping against hope that Durham does not try to pull a Horowitz and do his best to use legal language to say something bad may have happened, but there’s really not much he can do about it.

With all this in mind, Barr’s window is closing for 2020.  He needs to give the greenlight to a major indictment by the end of April at the very latest, or else we should just expect nothing until after the election.

The reaction from those on the left who supported the coup against Trump was nothing short of absolute glee when the DOJ made its announcement about McCabe on Friday.

The anger among Trump supporters is palpable.

The problem is, if there is no major indictment announced within the next couple months, then any such announcement will be viewed as election interference by the left.  The media frenzy will be insane.

Why the end of April?  Because by then, the Dems will likely have picked their nominee, or will be very close to that pick.  That thought does not consider the idea of a brokered convention, in case none of the candidates receives a majority of delegates.

This is a real possibility, but the fact of the matter is this… Bernie Sanders won the popular vote in the first two primaries.  It would be virtually unprecedented for that to happen and for him to lose the nomination.

It’s my guess that the Democrats will try to coalesce around a deeply flawed, successful businessman by the name of Michael Bloomberg.  However, his track record among black voters will make it very difficult for him to get their votes, and the Bernie Bros will be livid.

In any event, Barr’s window to expose the rot in DC is closing.  Some on the right sense something is imminent.  I heard rumblings over a week ago, but Sean Hannity suggests SOMETHING big will happen soon.

Like many Trump supporters, I won’t hold my breath.  This bullshit has gone on way too long.

Therefore, this will be my last post on this general topic, unless something BIG does happen.  I’ll be getting back to the basic purpose of this blog, which is to provide you with different ideas for making money away from your day job.
