Everyday it seems there is a new example of someone who just can’t get through their head that Trump voters are decent people.

We now live in a world where people judge you more for how you vote than on just about anything else.

Exhibit A…

Imagine living with the mindset that anyone who voted for Trump is not deserving of your absolution, as if they are even looking for it.

It’s pretty clear that people who voted for Trump are just happier people.  Yeah, we get pissed off about many things going on in this country.

The fact is, we voted for Trump because we recognize the damage that the so-called “elites” in this country have caused.

From their endless wars, to their globalist policies, to their divisiveness along racial lines, the DC crowd along with their coastal elite brethren have caused a massive erosion of the middle class.

That happens to be where most of us reside.

But, aside from that nonsense, overall, we are happy and peaceful people.  And, we will continue to treat people with respect, until they demonstrate to us that they no longer deserve that respect.

So what do I mean when I recommend becoming a Happy Warrior?

Well, most of you who are reading this now are already happy people.  You treat your friends, family and neighbors with respect, and you enjoy the life you are living.

However, we have to admit to ourselves that there are dark clouds on the horizon.

We saw that with the riots that occurred throughout 2020.

We’ve seen it with the early policy decisions of the new administration.

The middle class is going to continue to get squeezed, so that more and more people become reliant on the government for survival.

That is what those people want, as it gives them more power.

With all that has gone on over the last twelve months, it is clear that we must all become far more vigilant when it comes to our personal safety.

Criminals are more emboldened now.  The powers that be hardly pursued any cases against those that caused so much damage last year, including the deaths of twenty people.

How many members of Antifa went to jail for the damage they caused in places like Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis and Milwaukee?

Yet, our department of justice is going full throttle after the folks that breached the Capitol Building on January 6th.

We never saw any such efforts last year.

Instead, we actually saw some politicians and Hollywood elites set up campaigns to bail out the rioters.  This included our current sitting Vice President, who encouraged people to contribute to those campaigns.

We’ve always had multiple systems of justice in this country.  The well connected always made out better in the courts than the poor.  White people certainly made out better in the legal system than minorities.

Now, it appears that the mindset of some is to punish their political enemies, and Trump supporters are high on the list.

Therefore, while you may currently be happy with your overall situation, and living in general peace, it’s time to adopt a warrior’s mentality.

Warrior mentality

No, this does not mean you need to go paint your face and prepare for battle like William Wallace.

But, what it does mean is you need to start learning to become more street smart.

Almost on a daily basis you can find acts of random violence.  In the last two days, I’ve seen video of two elderly men attacked in broad daylight.  One has since died from his injuries.

When you are out in public now, you must always be aware of your surroundings, and you need to start learning how to deal with different situations should they occur.

Robberies and attacks can happen in the parking lot of a grocery store, while you are just walking down the street, or as you exit a restaurant.

You need to start learning how to be on heightened alert when you leave your home, and you need to start training for the possibility that you could be the target of an assault.

Warrior fitness

Along with increased sense of awareness, and learning how to deal with different situations, you will need to improve your fitness.

In this age of the coronavirus, it makes no damn sense to ignore your fitness.  It is one of the most opportunistic viruses mankind has ever encountered, and people with pre-existing conditions have suffered the most.

No, this does not mean you need to train like a Navy SEAL.

But, if you are carrying extra weight, get tired walking up the steps, and can’d do ten pushups, it’s time to get your ass in gear.

You can have all the street smarts in the world, but if you can’t execute a plan to simply escape, or you are too weak to cause your assailant any sort of damage, then you need to get in shape.

And, by the way, even if you have a concealed carry permit, it won’t do much good if you have a heart attack as you are pulling that weapon out to deal with a criminal.

Be a Happy Warrior

Over the last year, as we’ve dealt with this Covid-19 pandemic, my refuge has been my garage gym.  I can pretty much guarantee that I would’ve lost my mind by now if not for my gym.

Working on your fitness will not only make you feel better physically, but you’ll benefit mentally as well.

With all this said, we don’t need to change our overall mood from happy to dark.

While we train for the worst, we can still maintain a happy outlook on life.

The fact is, most of us would still choose to live in America over anywhere else (well except maybe some beautiful island in the Caribbean).

While it may not be possible to turn things around completely in this country, so that we can all live in harmony, it is still possible to live a good life here.

But, to ensure the greatest potential to live that good life, it makes sense to understand that there is still danger out there.

Therefore, it’s best to be prepared.  Be a Happy Warrior.
